Hershey Lodge Knows Family

(Hershey, Pa.) – Family vacations are one of the very best summer traditions. This year, Hershey Lodge is featuring a number of ways for families to make sweet memories while getting the most out of their time together.

The fun starts with “Kid’s Check-In,” where children sign the Hershey Lodge Kid’s Guest Book and receive a commemorative Hershey character key card on a lanyard. The card provides an area for parents to write their contact information in case they become separated from their child during their visit. At their special check-in, children also can participate in a Hershey candy guess and receive their own Hershey surprise.

Throughout the day, the Hershey Product Characters make special appearances at the Lodge and welcome the resort’s youngest guests. Those guests also have the opportunity to make a “Craft of the Day” – perhaps “fish tic-tac-toe” or sand art – in the activities building. Other family activities offered by Hershey Lodge include pool games and big-splash contests, family bingo, character coloring, and “dive-in movies” at which guests enjoy a family film at the outdoor pool.

A favorite activity among Lodge guests is making S’mores by the property’s small lake. S’mores kits are available for purchase at the Lodge’s Cocoa Beanery, and everything else is provided . . . including a fire pit, marshmallow skewers and cushions to sit on.

Every summer Saturday night from 7 to 8:30 p.m., Hershey Lodge hosts a beach party in honor of the newest attraction at Hersheypark, “The SEAquel.” Free to all guests of the Lodge, this party includes beach music, a sand art station, games, light refreshments and much more.
