Growing up on the East Coast with the National Zoo all but in my backyard, I have to admit to being a bit of a zoo snob. So, I was blown away when I visited the Denver Zoo. First of all, the grounds themselves were beautiful. And the exhibits were terrific. Baby giraffes, mobs of flamingos, and tropical birds that will land right on your arm and drink nectar from a tiny cup. But hold on tight. Some of those guys tried to steal the thing right out of my hands. I loved the monkey house and I was amazed by their sea life collection. It was almost as if there was an aquarium there as well. The zoo is perfectly laid out and we were able to see it all making one wide circle. I do like an easy to navigate zoo!
