I had been to other butterfly exhibits. But the Butterfly Pavilion in Denver was truly (pardon the cheesiness) magical. The little guys were everywhere and in every possible color, pattern, and combination. I had never seen so many so close up. The pavilion they’re in is lush and green and full of brightly colored flowers. I could have walked its windy paths over and over, finding something new on every pass. Butterflies alighted on some of the visitors and we got to see a really cool release of all of the butterflies born in the past few hours. I really enjoyed the cocoon display as well. I had no idea some of them were so beautiful (golden even!) or so big. And it was wild to watch then wriggle as the butterflies inside planned their dramatic appearance.
