2013-2014 Performing Live Season
Experience the Laughs, Thrills, and Brilliance of the Performing Arts
Mesa Arts Center proudly announces the lineup for its Performing Live Series for 2013-14. This season’s schedule brings a fantastic variety of unique experiences for music and theater enthusiasts of all ages, as well as an all-new Dinner & Show package option and a new partnership that will allow MAC season ticket holders and patrons to enjoy select shows at the Mesa Amphitheater and Hohokam Stadium.
The 2013-2014 Performing Live Series at the Mesa Arts Center kicks off on July 16
with an exciting performance by renowned guitarists Rodrigo y Gabriela, and it
never lets up from there. This summer will see performances by The Monkees, Lyle Lovett & His Large Band and Orquesta Buena Vista Social Club at the MAC’s Ikeda Theater. The Avett Brothers start fall with a performance at the Mesa Amphitheater in early October, with the rest of 2013 highlighted by Alton Brown, Vince Gill, The Boston Pops, Dave Koz and much, much more.
Through late 2013 and into 2014, the MAC will host Paula Poundstone, Audra McDonald, Tommy Emanuel and Renée Fleming, to name just a few. During the season, additional performers will be announced.
Each month beginning in July, a pre-show dinner and drinks package will be offered
that is tailored to accompany each performance. The Dinner & Show package is available for Rodrigo y Gabriela on July 16, The Monkees on August 9, Orquesta Buena Vista Social Club on September 15, and Vince Gill on October 24.
This year, the Mesa Arts Center will continue to offer specially priced ticket packages for a Family Series, Jazz Series, National Geographic Live Speaker Series, and Classical Icon Series. These packages save ticket buyers 33% or more.
Get the Arts program is also back, giving “Mesa Bucks” for sales tax towards “buy
one get one” tickets to selected Performing Live Series shows when consumers shop
in Mesa and turn in receipts to the MAC box office.
“We have scheduled a strong, well-rounded performance line up this season with artists that are impacting our lives and the direction of the arts nationally. Contributing members will get the first opportunity to purchase show tickets and receive other discounts, and we encourage everybody else in our community to consider the benefits of membership to enjoy everything that the Mesa Arts Center has to offer this season and beyond,” says Cindy Ornstein, Executive Director at the Mesa Arts Center.

public, along with a variety of other benefits, everyone is encouraged to become
